Stop Suffering From Broken Hair

It’s essential to treat yourself every so often, whether enjoying that chocolate cake you cut out of your diet weeks ago or spending a relaxing day at the spa.

When we finally decide to spoil ourselves, hair treatment isn’t usually the first priority. We often forget about our poor hair, which we continuously expose to heat styling, chemical-filled products, and hair dye.

If you’re suffering from damaged hair, you NEED Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 in your life. Take my advice. I promise you won’t regret it, and here’s why.

How You’ve Caused Damage To Your Hair

There are billions of ways we can damage our hair, whether it’s blow-drying after every shower or just enjoying some time in the sun.

There are also billions of ways we can protect our hair.Opens in a new tab. We need to know how we are causing damage to our hair so we can figure out how to prevent it.

Here are a few of the most common ways we damage our hair.

  • Dying/bleaching

Exploiting our hair to the harsh chemicals inside hair dye and bleach alters its natural strength.

These chemicals remove natural hair pigment, which makes hair more vulnerable to damage such as hair breakage, split ends, and dullness.

  • Perms

Like bleaching, perms weaken hair, leaving it dull and damaged, which can cause your hair to look brittle and dry.

  • Heat exposure

Heat causes changes to the hydrogen bonds that hold hair together. Over time these temporary changes can cause more permanent damage if you blow-dry or iron every day.

  • Ponytails and Braids

Pulling your hair tightly will cause breakage. If you wear your hair in tight styles daily, the damage will become permanent. If you braid or put your hair in a ponytail while it’s wet, the damage will occur sooner because damp hair is more prone to breakage.

  • Overbrushing

Brushing your hair one hundred strokes a day to get shine and fullness is a myth! Brushing your hair causes friction, which, when overdone, will cause breakage and split ends.

  • Over shampooing

Over-washing takes away your hair’s natural moisture that keeps your hair looking healthy. Too much of a good thing isn’t always beneficial. Try to limit your washes, Opens in a new tab.whether it be a few times every week or every other day.

  • Extensions and weaves

Certain kinds of extensions and weaves are very similar to ponytails and braids when it comes to causing damage. Over time, they will leave your hair broken and brittle.

The only difference is that the damage takes place at the roots, which is much harder to cut or grow out.

Tight hairstyles can also cause loss of hair! So make it lose or be patient and grow your hair out naturally for length.Opens in a new tab.
