There’s a makeup remover that claims to remove makeup with as little as water?
When I heard this claim from MakeUp Eraser, I was intrigued. As much as I enjoy doing my makeup and love the way that it makes me look and feel some nights, I can’t wait to scrub my make up off.
Removing brightly colored pressed pigments can be the most challenging product to remove.
While we love a bold palette like the one by Morphe x Jeffree Star, sometimes they can be a pain to get off. I had to try the Makeup Eraser for myself to see if it does what it claims.
So, what is it?
The brand claims that with the Makeup Eraser, it is possible to remove all makeup only using water. The MakeUp Eraser is a soft cloth, fabricated from specially knitted polyester and silk fibers.
The MakeUp Eraser’s unique blend of fabrics is what allows it to cleanse quickly with only the use of water.
I decided that I had to put it to the test for myself. I had to see what all of the hype was about and if this would effortlessly remove my makeup.
The MakeUp Eraser is equivalent to 3500 makeup wipes. Its time to save the baby sea turtles, everyone!
Over time the MakeUp Eraser will easily save you money. The MakeUp Eraser can be washed and reused over 1,000 times!
How does it work?
I am glad you ask. The unique blend of the fibers, when wet, create a hydro-mechanical process that breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond makeup to the skin.
Once I received my MakeUp Eraser in the mail, I was so excited to put it to use! Before enjoying a chemical-free cleanse, I washed my Makeup Eraser in hot water with my towel load. Once it was clean and dry, it was time to put it to use!
There are two different sides to the MakeUp Eraser. There is a short fiber side used to cleanse off any stubborn makeup, and a long fiber side used to exfoliate the skin.
I soaked my MakeUp Eraser in warm water and then started to cleanse using the side with the short fibers, cleaning in gentle circular motions. My makeup started to melt away instantly.
Then I flipped it over to use the long fiber side (the side with the tag) to exfoliate in gentle circular motions to clean any leftover makeup residue and dead skin.
For maintaining your MakeUp Eraser, the company recommends using it in sections and machine washing at least 1-2 times per week. I always hang my MakeUp Eraser to dry after each use to prevent any unwanted bacteria growth.
This MakeUp Eraser is the original bright color pink that was released. What girl doesn’t love a good pink? What I am most impressed with is how incredibly soft and gentle the fabric is.
I enjoy exfoliating, but because my skin can be sensitive, I can only do it so often.
The MakeUp Eraser is magical. I can cleanse and exfoliate without experiencing any redness or irritation.

It is so satisfying to see all of the eyeliner, mascara, and foundation that the MakeUp Eraser can remove quickly.
The tropical MakeUp Eraser is the original size and is perfect for daily use. There is enough material to remove your makeup several times before having to throw it into the wash. For reference, it is slightly larger than a washcloth.
Sometimes I have sensitive skin, and I love that when I use the MakeUp Eraser, it does not cause me any skin irritation or redness.
I am amazed by the fact that every time I throw the MakeUp Eraser into the wash, it comes out looking brand new!
The next MakeUp Eraser that I am going to talk about is the Mini MakeUp Eraser; the Mini is so easy to pack in your cosmetics bag and take with you on travels. I love the bright pink color that it comes in.
The size does not change the effectiveness at all. The Mini MakeUp Eraser still smoothly glides across my face and removes all of my stubborn waterproof products.
I also love that the Mini is easy to give a quick wash in the sink between laundering.
I wash it with some antibacterial hand soap and hang it on my towel rack to dry, so it’s clean and ready to go for the next day!
After purchasing my first MakeUp Eraser, I am thrilled to report that this was an excellent addition to my skincare routine. I bought this bundle so I can have a few MakeUp Erasers in rotation.
That way, I do not have to wait for just one to come out of the washer and dryer.
