My Experience With L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

Saying that mascara is the icing on the cake of any makeup is an understatement. Mascara can determine the success or failure of your look, so I’m always looking for products that won’t start flaking over my face in the middle of the day or create chunky clumps all over my lashes.

Well, the L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara didn’t disappoint me.

Given that I don’t naturally have long or thick eyelashes, a volumizing and lengthening mascara is all I ask for. This one adds length and creates dramatic volume without separating the lashes too much. And when used with other L’Oreal products, like the Infallible Never Fail mechanical pencil eyeliner, for instance, it creates an attractive eye look.

Volume and Length

Compared to other volumizing mascaras I’ve been using, the Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara is dense and wet. It doesn’t feel sticky or super-dry as you gently sweep it over your eyelash fringe from base to top.

Its dramatic volumizing charge creates the right visual effect of thick lashes but doesn’t stick them together in unaesthetic clumps. I like adding two or three layers of product to intensify the silky volume effect, and still, I don’t feel it’s heavy.

As per its lengthening effect, you can’t expect it to add inches to your natural lashes; however, the smooth dark black coat makes it look like each lash is subtly longer than normal.

Formula

This L’Oreal Paris mascara features castor oil in its formula, which makes your eyelashes super soft.

The formula is runny enough to be evenly distributed over the full lash fringe, but it’s not a dilute mascara that runs off your lashes once you apply it. Also, it doesn’t create many clots all over the wand. However, when closing the mascara, make sure to cap it tightly to prevent it from drying.

Wand and Application

This mascara’s brush shape gives you beautiful lashes and helps you achieve sleek lines, thanks to the hourglass-shaped wand. You wouldn’t get all that volume without this ultra-soft wavy brush caressing your lashes one by one.

The Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara brush picks up the proper amount of formula, but its thickness makes it hard not to smudge on the eyelid where you have fewer lashes. So, you’d better clean it on the tube’s edge before applying it.

Also, the brush size is perfect for any eye size, meaning that it’s not one of those huge wands that attempt on your eyesight every time you come close to them.

Duration

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise holds quite well all day long, but you might notice some flakes here and there after more than 8 hours as it starts drying up.

If you’re looking for waterproof mascara, L’Oreal made a waterproof version of Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara, which is quite similar to its washable counterpart.

Removal

Now, removing mascara can be a battle between you and the product where you try to save all of your lashes, especially if you pair it with a smudge-proof eyeliner or any other eye makeup. Or it can be the smoothest process ever when you have the prompt aid of the right makeup remover and a decent mascara.

The L’Oreal Paris Lash Paradise washable mascara compromises these two situations. It doesn’t stick forever on your lashes, nor can you make it dissolve with only a drop of oil. In the end, it removes rather easily, and you don’t have to rub it harshly.

Of course, the more layers you add, the more it’ll take to remove all the product from your eyes.

Sacrificing quality for price or spending dozen of bucks on makeup products that lead nowhere isn’t appealing to anybody. L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara deserves the hype it’s gotten since it was released. It’s one of the best mascaras you can ever buy at the drugstore and can easily compete with some of its high-end counterparts.

This volumizing mascara gives the best results after a couple of coats without the dreaded spider lashes effect that many other lengthening mascaras cause, thanks to its well-conceived formula and dense brush.
